How & When to Apply:

EUL has two admission intakes each academic year. The first intake is for the Fall Term (September) and the second intake is for the Spring Term (February).

English Proficiency Test

Students who are not exempted are required to take a proficiency test. The pass grade for the test is 70 out of 100 for all departments.

Costs and Scholarships

The European University of Lefke has a number of generous scholarships and a good range of financial support and advice in place to help students manage finances at University.

New International Student Scholarship

The EUL grants 50% tuition fee scholarship for all Undergraduate and Associate Degree Programmes, offered exclusively to International first-year students. Please check with in-country counsellor or official representative of EUL for the availability and the requirements of the scholarship grant.

Academic High Performance Scholarship

Students, who studied for a minimum of two terms at EUL with a GPA of minimum 3.50 and above, and a CGPA of minimum 3.00 and above, are awarded an academic high performance scholarship for their next term of study.

Special Package Scholarship

All International Postgraduate students are admitted to the Master’s and PhD programmes on a Special Tuition Package.

Sibling and Spouse Discount

EUL offers sibling discounts for prospective students for spouses and siblings. These students receive a 25% discount of their tuition fees while they study together. This type of scholarship is granted to students who are enrolled in any of the undergraduate programmes.

Sports Scholarships

Apart from the academic scholarships offered to students there are also sport and culture scholarships that may be granted. This is dependent on individual success in a sporting or cultural field.

On Campus Accommodation

Most of EUL’s students live in EUL’s on and off campus accommodation (dormitories) which are just walking distance from the place of study. The Dormitories offer a safe and good value accommodation with fellow students and are a great place to make instant friends.

Within the EUL campus various types of accommodation, ranging from single/twin rooms to multi-occupancy dormitories. They are comfortable and peaceful and contribute to a safe environment.

Private accommodation, which is all within walking distance of the campus, provides economic living alternatives for students.

Student Life

Social awareness

Volunteering and awareness of the integration of EUL within the local community of Lefke is important for the University. Therefore, EUL has in place various projects which are aimed at instilling corporate social responsibility for all members of the EUL family. The titles of some of the recent student projects include: “Meeting the Needs of Stray Animals”; “No Child Left Without Cinema”; “Art Saturday”; “My School is Amazing”; “Co-operation for the Library”; “Science Fair”; Give Life”; “Love Overcomes Every Obstacle”; “A Drop of Colour for Fading Hopes”; “Mediterranean” and “EUL is Around Us”.


Orientation Week at the beginning of each term is not there just to welcome new students but to inform them on every aspect of university life. Orientation begins with ‘meet and greet’ receptions for newly enrolled students. Social activities, introductory tours and various other informative events are aimed at providing a good understanding of the university, its functions and wider aspects of North Cyprus life, infrastructure and culture.

As a modern and innovative higher education institution EUL is proactive in giving students the opportunity to participate in artistic, creative, cultural and sporting events both on campus and in the local community.

Extracurricular activity is an essential part of campus life and the Student Clubs are organized by the student community to develop their individual skills, team work and the fulfilment of their social and cultural needs. At EUL there are currently 45 student clubs. All students are eligible for membership of any club and they can initiate new clubs within an established procedure.

Office of Dean of Students

The role of EUL Dean of Students is to contribute to the personal, cultural and social wellbeing of the student community in addition to their academic success. This involves supporting them in their career aspirations as well as raising their social awareness and helping them to become value-added individuals. The components of this support are the Student Development and Psychological Counselling Centre, career guidance, social & cultural events, support for student clubs, communication with alumni and a Student Services Centre.
