The Cyprus Science University was founded in 2013, with the goal of developing an interdisciplinary learning environment in tune with UK and European educational standards and dedicated to providing students with all the skills they need for their future academic and professional lives.
The University is accredited by the Turkish Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and by the North Cyprus Higher Education Planning, Supervision, Accreditation and Coordination Board (YÖDAK).
The University is recognized by UK NARIC (The United Kingdom National Recognition Information Centre)
The University is approved by the Pearson London Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) International Qualifications Centre.
As the university evolves, it aims to provide international students with the highest qualifications in education, campus and community life, as well as international accreditation for all programs.
As one of the newest universities on the island, the Cyprus Science University has a fast-developing infrastructure with a brand new modern campus under construction in Kyrenia and a fast expanding set of academic and vocational programs. Students at CSU are required to graduate not only as field specialists, but as skilled communicators and leaders, with top class digital skills, and a broad-ranging outlook that will make them attractive propositions to future employers. The highly equipped facilities and services offered at CSU have all been developed to support this philosophy.
How to apply CSU?
The Cyprus Science University accepts applications from all international students holding qualifications that would enable them to seek entrance at an equivalent university in their own country.
Applicants should download and complete the application form from the CSU website http://csu.edu.tr/application-form/ The application form and high-quality color scans of the following documents should be mailed to email@example.com :
- High school diplomas or equivalent with transcripts indicating grades received
- Proof of English language proficiency if available
- A health report
- Valid ID and Passport photocopy
- A passport-sized and formatted color photo
- A completed application form
Note: In case the original documents are not in English, notarized translation should be provided.
The CSU International Office and CSU Registrar’s Office will then process the application and assist and advise with the processes that follow, which will include:
- Issue of provisional acceptance letter.
- Initial payments.
- Issue of final acceptance letters
- Final acceptance letter.
- Visa applications
- Travel to North Cyprus and Airport pick-up
- Immigration and health procedures in North Cyprus
- Applications are accepted for both the Fall and Spring semesters.
Costs and Scholarships
The Cyprus Science University aims to provide high quality education at an affordable price. With its generous program of 50% scholarships to international students, most students can cover annual tuition costs for under 3,124 Euro per year.
The Cyprus Science University is constructing its own premium dormitory facilities that will have an anticipated 5000 bed capacity with the first suite of accommodation being prepared for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Student Affairs and International Offices of the University also assist students with locating economic and comfortable shared accommodation near the university and placing students in private dormitories and facilities locally. The university also assists with temporary accommodation for students newly arrived on the island.
